During our stay in Santorini, we spend one full day at the unique black sand beach of Perivolos. Exaclty, next to the beach, we started with a refreshing cocktail at its sunbeds umbrellas of the Aegean Safran restaurant. The view is just unique.
Then, we continue with lunch! The well experienced chef, suggested Mediterranean plates. Its was a tasting journey through traditional and modern recipes and techniques.
Some of the dishes were fresh fish and seafood ‘’meze’. Everything was so perfect.
A restaurant like Safran, of course has one of the best wine menu. Wines made by white grapes such as Assyrtiko, Athiri and Aidani or by red grapes like Mavrotragano and Mandilaria fill the senses with the flavors of citrus and stone fruits.
In a place absolutely traditional but with modern life style, we let the art of wine and the taste of these quality plates, to travel our senses. The night had arrived. We did not want to leave. So, the day finished with some more cocktails and sweets they offered to us.
They love what they do. They want the perfect result for each customer. You should try Aegean safran!
