During our stay in Santorini, we visited Mesaria village.
There we came across the white-washed Eucalyptus hotel, which was of course surrounded by eucalyptus trees.
Slightly different than a standard hotel room,hotel Eucalyptus is a family hotel that features a sun terrace and offers colourful rooms that open to a balcony with a traditional village view.
Good for us, the hotel was recently expanded with five new apartments, giving us the opportunity to accommodate ourselves during high season. Our room was claccic and traditional, giving us the right amount of Greek hospitality.
We had our breakfast offered inside the hotel before heading out for our walk all around Santorini. We could enjoy several tavernas at a walking distance of just 50m.The closest beach Monolithos is just 1.5 km, while Kamari Beach, is within a distance of 2.5 km. Both are well worth a visit. The cosmopolitan Fira Town is just 2 km away.
It was a short stay, however we will remember it for a quite a while, due to the great hospitality of Mr….. and his family.
