During our stay in Santorini we visited MeliItini Tapas restaurant!
We met Pantelis, and his childhood friend Takis, who they told us their story about the restaurant . They left behind their lives in Athens and moved to Santorini to open the first traditional café-food that serves only Greek products at the picturesque village of Oia.
They prepared for us family recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation and we realized that the food was for sure a quality local homemade food! Pantelis suggested us to taste local wines and ‘’tsipouro’’!
It was amazing to enjoy any of our fine dishes overlooking the volcano in the Caldera sea on our rooftop terrace.
Wher you are in Oia and feel hungry, If you are looking for something authentic and far from the touristic mentality just go and find that two friends! You will be surprised of what they can offer to you!
The value is high and the prices are so affordable.
